Teesside Airport is a thriving regional hub, serving nearly 250,000 passengers annually with flights to destinations across Europe. In 2021, World Duty Free became the airport’s primary retailer, enhancing the shopping experience for travellers.

As part of the World Duty Free team at Teesside, you’ll showcase prestigious beauty brands like Lancôme, Benefit, and Clinique, alongside an array of designer fragrances. You’ll also provide expert guidance on luxury watches and jewellery from Seiko, Skagen, and Pandora, as well as offer recommendations on a curated selection of whiskies, champagnes, fine wines, and spirits.

Life at Teesside

Since 2021, when we became the airport’s main retailer, we’ve built a small but close team of colleagues. One team member who started with us as a part-time Customer Service Assistant is now a full-time Trainee Leader on our prestigious trainee leader scheme.

We have a wide range of roles on offer, including Store Managers, Team Leaders, Customer Service Assistants and Replenishment Assistants. Arriving for your Interview

Important Information

On arrival, head into the main terminal building and go to the Information Desk.

Bus or Train

It’s easy to get the bus to Teeside Airport, with the Stagecoach Service 6 bus running regularly to and from Stockton-on-Tees. The Tees Flex bus service is also available to and from the airport.

Driving

We recommend you use public transport. Parking at the airport can be expensive. Your cost of travel and parking is not reimbursed.

Your Interview

On arrival, head to the Information Desk in the main terminal and say you are here for an interview with us. A member of the World Duty Free team will come and collect you.

Things to bring with you

Please remember to bring along your Right to Work Documents! Your Passport, NI Number & Proof of Address, plus Share code if necessary.

How long should you expect your interview to take?

Expect to be with us for between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the role you are applying for and the assessment activities. We’ll brief you before your interview and answer your questions so you know what to expect on the day.

Things to know about working at Teesside

As you’ll be working airside, you’ll need to be security cleared before you can start work. This can take 6-12 weeks from when you’re offered a role. We manage this process for you and will have checked your basic details prior to interview, so the chances are this will all go smoothly.

You’ll need to pass through airport Security each time you arrive for work (it’s just like going on holiday!) – this can take around 30 minutes. You need to incorporate getting through Security into your travel time.
