Step 01
Application Phase
Apply directly through our careers site, or using Job Boards such as Indeed. Fill out the form, attach your CV, and boom! You’re in our system. Then, specify your preferred role and location. We’ll review your application within two weeks, so hang tight!

Step 02
Screening Stage
If you are successful, we’ll reach out via email, phone call, or even a text message. You will be contacted for a telephone interview or a digital interview. Not successful this time? We’ll send you a polite email to keep you informed.
Step 03 – Your choice
Telephone Interview
Expect a brief screening covering security questions, career experience, motivation, and competency.

Complete pre-recorded questions and answers via an on-line portal called HireVue. We’ll assess your responses using the same criteria as telephone interviews.
Step 04
Assessment
Successful candidates will be invited to an assessment, involving a one-to-one interview and a group activity, typically lasting an hour. Expect lots of excitement, this is your chance to shine! The assessments have been set up by the store managers and are an essential part of the recruitment process. They are based on the assessor’s availability, and if you are unable to attend you will have to wait until another assessment becomes available. We will try and give you as many options for times as possible.
Step 05
Decision
We’ll call you within 48 hours of the assessment to let you know what our decision is.
If you are successful, we will discuss the offer details on the phone (see step 06).
If you’re not successful this time, we’ll provide constructive feedback on why and how you can try again.
Step 06
Offer Stage
Congratulations! If successful, we’ll discuss the offer details over the phone. Upon verbal acceptance, you will receive an email with a link to your onboarding portal, along with instructions. Here you will find your official contract. Time to celebrate!
Step 07
Onboarding
Complete all the forms via our onboarding portal to kickstart your journey with World Duty Free. Our HR heroes will initiate the referencing process, followed by setting up your induction and start date. The referencing process can take anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks due to the strict security requirements of working in an airport so hang tight, and before you know it, you’ll be ready to spread your wings with us!
