Manchester Airport is a major international hub with three terminals and two runways. As the UK’s busiest airport outside of London, it serves 28 million passengers annually, connecting them to over 200 destinations worldwide.

World Duty Free operates several retail outlets at Manchester Airport, including World Duty Free, WDF Express, Jo Malone, Bobbi Brown, Victoria’s Secret, and Clarins.

Depending on the store you are based in, you could be promoting high-end products within our specialist stores, such as World of Whisky, or selling across a diverse product range that includes prestigious, well-established brands as well as exciting new arrivals, many of which are available exclusively airside.

Arriving for your Interview

World Duty Free Training Hub, Floor 3, 4M Building, Malaga Avenue, Manchester, M90 3RR

Important Information

Your interview will take place at the Training Hub at our Manchester office, located on the 3rd floor at 4M Building. 4M is on site at Manchester Airport, opposite the Raddision Blu hotel, and easily accessed via public transport.

The WDF Manchester Office entrance is located on the upper level of the train station. Go into the 4M main entrance, turn left toward the Coach and Bus ticket booths, then turn right and head towards the Information Desk located by the toilets. On your right you’ll see the stairs and lift – head up to the 3rd floor and you’ll see the entrance to our office.

Bus or Train

Manchester Airport is very well served by a variety of buses, trains and shuttles. Depending on where you’re travelling from, you’ll find a variety of public transport options to get you quickly to the airport. You’ll find more details on the Airport’s website.

Driving

We don’t recommend you park on site. The airport is incredibly well connected with frequent public transport options from a variety of locations, and parking is expensive. Your cost of travel and parking is not reimbursed.

Things to know about working at Manchester

As you’ll be working airside, you’ll need to be security cleared before you can start work. This can take 6-12 weeks from when you’re offered a role. We manage this process for you and will have checked your basic details prior to interview, so the chances are this will all go smoothly.

You’ll need to pass through airport Security each time you arrive for work (it’s just like going on holiday!) – this can take around 30 minutes. You need to incorporate getting through Security into your travel time.
