Stansted Airport

Stansted Airport, the third major international gateway serving London and the South of England, is situated in Essex. With around 30 million passengers annually, it is the fourth busiest airport in the UK, following Heathrow, Gatwick, and Manchester.

The World Duty Free store at Stansted is the largest walk-through duty-free store in the UK, spanning over 30,000 sq ft. It features prestigious beauty brands such as Chanel, Dior, Jo Malone, and MAC. Our award-winning Whisky department, paired with a lively Destination bar, offers passengers an opportunity to sample a diverse selection of premium liquors.

Our main store also includes high-end designer brands like Fortnum & Mason, Pandora, Oakley, and TAG Heuer. The World Duty Free experience at Stansted is further enhanced by five additional stores: Glorious Britain, Satellite 3, and Arrivals, as well as concept stores for Sunglasses Boutique and Express.

When it comes to your Induction, get ready for an engaging two-day experience. On your first day, we’ll kick off with a warm welcome, where you’ll meet the team, explore our service standards, and dive into interactive training sessions. You’ll take a virtual tour, connect on our social network, and try on your uniform, ensuring you’re fully prepared for your journey ahead. Day two brings hands-on experience, including a comprehensive terminal tour led by our trainers. You’ll also receive practical training in manual handling and sales techniques, building valuable skills in a real-world setting. It’s two days filled with learning, connection, and a fantastic start to your career with us.

Arriving for your Interview

Important Information

Interviews take place in Enterprise House, which is the glass building located next to the Hampton Hotel.

Bus or Train

Stansted is well served by public transport. Upon arriving, walk up the slope to the Terminal. You will then need to exit the Terminal and turn right. Walk all the way to the end of the Terminal where you will see a glass building with a slope on your right. Enter the building and go to the bottom floor via lift or stairs.

Driving

As Stansted is so well connected by public transport, we don’t recommend parking on site. Your cost of travel and parking is not reimbursed.

Things to know about working at Stansted

As you’ll be working airside, you’ll need to be security cleared before you can start work. This can take 6-12 weeks from when you’re offered a role. We manage this process for you and will have checked your basic details prior to interview, so the chances are this will all go smoothly.

You’ll need to pass through airport Security each time you arrive for work (it’s just like going on holiday!) – this can take around 30 minutes. You need to incorporate getting through Security into your travel time.
