In our East Midlands store, you’ll offer a premium selection of beauty products, featuring top brands such as Estée Lauder, Clinique, and Benefit, alongside a diverse array of designer fragrances. You’ll also promote luxury sunglasses and jewellery from renowned names like Ray-Ban, Tom Ford, and Pandora. Additionally, you’ll provide expert recommendations on a wide range of whiskies, champagnes, fine wines, and spirits, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for every traveller.

Important Information

It’s most likely your assessment will take place over Microsoft Teams. A Teams invite will follow your interview confirmation email – please check your junk mail if you don’t see it in your inbox. Please make sure you have Teams installed and up and running on your device prior to your interview.

Our Tips for Online Interviews

Make sure you’re in a quiet space, where you won’t be interrupted or have any background noise, and check in advance that your tech works. Treat the experience as you would an in-person interview – maintain eye contact, dress professionally and be ready to make a great impression!

Your Interview

On arrival at the airport, head into the Departures area and a member of the World Duty Free team will meet you at the meeting point outside WHSmith.

Please remember to bring along your Right to Work Documents! Your Passport, NI Number & Proof of Address, plus Share code if necessary.

How long should you expect your interview to take?

Expect to be with us for between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the role you are applying for and the assessment activities. We’ll brief you before your interview and answer your questions so you know what to expect on the day.

Things to know about working at East Midlands

As you’ll be working airside, you’ll need to be security cleared before you can start work. This can take 6-12 weeks from when you’re offered a role. We manage this process for you and will have checked your basic details prior to interview, so the chances are this will all go smoothly.

You’ll need to pass through airport Security each time you arrive for work (it’s just like going on holiday!) – this can take around 30 minutes. You need to incorporate getting through security into your travel time.
