Arriving for your Interview

Important Information

Public transport to the airport is very restricted as there is no nearby train station and buses are limited. We recommend arriving by car. On arrival, head to the Information Desk located in the main Terminal building.

Bus or Train

The airport is no longer served by a fixed bus service. We recommend driving and parking on site if possible.

Driving

Parking is available in Car Park 1. Security cameras are operational in the area and a fine will be issued for any vehicle which stops on the road outside the airport, even if it is only for a few seconds, therefore if you are being dropped off please do so in Car Park 1 (free for 15 minutes) to avoid a fine. Your cost of travel and parking is not reimbursed.

Your Interview

On arrival at the main Terminal building, head to the Information Desk to be given further instructions.

Things to bring with you

Please remember to bring along your Right to Work Documents! Your Passport, NI Number & Proof of Address, plus Share code if necessary.

How long should you expect your interview to take?

Expect to be with us for between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the role you are applying for and the assessment activities. We’ll brief you before your interview and answer your questions so you know what to expect on the day.

Things to know about working at Humberside

As you’ll be working airside, you’ll need to be security cleared before you can start work. This can take 6-12 weeks from when you’re offered a role. We manage this process for you and will have checked your basic details prior to interview, so the chances are this will all go smoothly.

You’ll need to pass through airport Security each time you arrive for work (it’s just like going on holiday!) – this can take around 30 minutes. You need to incorporate getting through Security into your travel time.
